Some interesting reading about what happened at assembly plants

Wow, now I feel like taking my interior apart may be a treasure hunt. My car was as basic as they came. AM radio, 3 speed trans and wheel covers were the only options. Maybe some factory worker felt sorry for the poor guy (or girl) who would end up with such a plain jane car and hid some goodies...

    Best place for interior parts

Hi all. I know this has been posted before, but this new site is still confusing to me. I'm getting ready to order the interior- carpets, door panels, dash pad etc. I've looked around at different sites and the prices on this stuff can vary by $20 or more! So are the $59 door panels the same as...

Hi all, My computer has been down for a week and I have missed this site! Anyway, a few days ago i went and checked on my CS that is in for paint and some minor body work. I want to ask some opinions of what i saw. I am paying $4,000 for paint the minor repairs- nothing more than a few minor...

Palm Springs Exotic Car Auctions...Nov, '05

They have some nice cars up for auction. Question about the '68 Shelby. It's an S code car but has a 428CJ. Were Shelby codes different? Or am I just clueless ??? Sara

Found a 68 CS in a Garage in Illinois....

Did you check out his link?? This guy is a busy photographer! BTW, is the dash VIN the best way to check engine size? There is a beater CS I've seen around here and if I see it again I want to check in out. The guy might not realize what he has if its a S or R code. Sara

HCS, 2 GT/CS, and a Clone FS, just Links

The oakland clone looks nice- is she sure it's a clone??

    Is your GT/CS a non-stock Color?

My vote would be to keep them stock. My car is in now for paint and I can't say my husband and I didn't discuss other colors. He'd do red with a white interior. I love the look of blue with a white vinyl top and interior. But we have a Highland Green (awesome color!) and thant's what we'll leave it.

    66 HCS for sale

We do know the value of these cars- that is what this site is about- I would venture to say that no one knows more about these cars than most on this site, so when you come selling a car that on first glance does not appear to be a HCS, red flags go up. If you are the expert you claim to be you...

    Interior restoration

[ Sara, I have an extra. I bought it for the woodgrain insert and have no use for the pad or wheel. If you'd like I can take a picture of it this weekend and send it to you. Since I'm looking to get that kind of big stuff out of my garage I'll make you a great deal! Arlie, that would be...

    Interior restoration

Thanks all. I wasn't even sure it was chrome or something else. I do want to keep everything as original as possible. It's a basic, no frills interior, all black so it should be easy. Anyone have a steering wheel and pad? I watch ebay but nothing decent has come up in a while. I ws outbid the...

    Interior restoration

Hi all, I am gathering pieces for my interior and I am now focusing on the dash. The dash pad needs replacing, but the dash panel doesn't look too bad. The silver is worn off the trim and around the instrument gauges. So what have you guys done? I've seen the replacement parts in various...
