1966 Shelby Coupe

In the December 2005 issue of Mustang Times there is an article about a restoration shop called Florida Mustang owned by George Howard.
The article is about a restored 1967 GTA but on page 28 the article mentions that Howard has an upcomming comming project "a rare 1966 Shelby coupe". Does anyone know if Shelby built a coupe in 1966?
