    Why a GT/CS or HCS?

I forgot to check it but for me the main thing was the deal. The car was just sitting in this guys garage and he didn't want it. He needed work done at his house that my husband did in trade for the car. I've always been a Mustang fan and dated a guy in high school that had a 69 Mach 1. That's...

I remember a thread a while ago about this guy and his videos and it wasn't too favorable.

    Restoration Costs

I am having SO much fun doing this car. My husband calls it my midlife crisis! I was a stay at home mom until I got the GT/CS bug. Now I work part time to pay for the car!   It took a while on my pety salary to get the cash together but it was worth the wait! Next I want to...

    2007 CS pic's/article

I have to agree from what I've seen I'm disappointed. It would have looked better with a ducktail. What about the rear lights? Does anyone know what they look like? I sure hope they're not like a standard mustang. I'm torn over the hood scoop. I think it looks cool but our cars don't have it so...

    Restoration Costs

I've paid 5k just to the shop for paint and installation of all the interior stuff. But I bought all the interior stuff myself probably for another $1,000. Then it goes to the mechanic.......:icon_pani

Any opinions on the value of my GT/CS

So now that mine is almost done at the shop (Woo hoo!:teleport: ) I wonder what I should insure it for? My insurance company uses American Classics for their collector cars. I've checked in with them and you pretty much name the price you want it insured for. I was thinking $15k? Remember, my...

    Stripe installation

I'm working on it Donna- It's a 302, not 390 but from what I understand there aren't too many of those either!

Any opinions on the value of my GT/CS

I'm far from an expert on value, but your car sounds similar to mine. I have a no frills J code I've had almost 2 years. Doesn't have original enigine, although I can get it. It now has a 289, 4 speed (also Highland Green) We actually got it in trade for a retaining wall worth about $6,000. It...

    Found the rusty CS

That crossed my mind too but it has the drill holes for the script, scoops and hood locks. Has the stripes and of course tail lights and deck lid. I'm going to try and get the full VIN.

    Restoration Costs

I'm not the best one to respond to this but I thought I would since no one else has yet (the GT/CS and the BJ auction has created a buzz!) My car is in for a cosmetic restoration, I guess is what you'd call it. I took it to a local shop that has done some work on my 'mom' car. He's always got...

    Found the rusty CS

I should have thought to remember the numer beyond 8R01C! I see it fairly frequently, this was the first time it was parked- I'll jot down the number next time.

    Found the rusty CS

For almost 6 months I've been running across a rust bucket of a GT/CS around town. Everytime I see it I follow it hoping he'll stop. I always want to check if it's an S or even an R code and the guy doesn't realize what he has. Well, found it today and it was parked. It's a C code and it's had a...

CS in Barrett Jackson sold for 49,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is so awesome! Refresh my memory- was it a J code 302? Makes me want to push the last owner of my car to dig the original 302 he has to my car out of storage. He keeps saying he'll get it to me. Hope he wasn't watching tonight....

2007 GT/CS Info Posted on Mustang Source

I'm not a Superbowl fan either, but I'll Tivo it if there is going to be a commercial for the GT/CS. Is this a sure thing?? It may even get me to watch it. I sure hope they changed the rear end of the regular mustang in the CS. That's the best looking part!

    Stripe installation

Thanks CJ and Arlie for sending me the info in Pauls book. That's exactly what I need. I'm going to let the paint shop put the stripes on. Hopefully they have more experience than I do- maybe not specifically with a CS, but body stripes in general. Still, any tricks would be appreciated...

    Stripe installation

That would be great Arlie if you could email it. I have to put my email in my profile. It's luisa2552@sbcglobal.net. Does Pauls book have specifics on the deck lid stripe? I see that one messed up so often!
