My painter says he's going to paint the car next weekend, so I just ordered a 363 stroker based off a Dart SHP 4-bolt main big bore block. The cylinder bores will be 4.125". I ordered 9.0:1 compression ratio so I can safely run my blower. I'll probably add some nitrous and am thinking of doing a FAST EZ EFI conversion.

He's jamming it and putting it back together this week. He has a booth reserved for the weekend so hopefully paint it this weekend.

Very excited. I can't wait to get this car back on the road.I'm putting in a Dart based 363, with the Holley 174 blower. I'll probably back it up with a Lentech AOD.

Our 306/331/347 Race 8 Second Dart Short Block is designed for 800hp-1000hp vehicles looking for a strong foundation for high horsepower. This short block is balanced to 28oz and ready for your big horsepower street or race car. The extra strength of this setup relies upon a 4340 forged steel crankshaft and set of 4340 forged steel H beam rods along with the Dart SHP 4 bolt main 302 block. This is the premium 4 bolt iron block available for 302 based motors and can handle upwards of 1200hp. For lighter rotating assembly parts we also have high strength 4340 I beam rods, and Ultra light 4340 I beam rods for quick and high revving naturally aspirated engines.

Joe,
Wow, fly cuts in the pistons look like they are twisted wedge head capable. I am envious of this base block!! Will you adopt me??

Joe,
Fly cuts on the pistons look generous enough to support alot of different head styles.

Wonder what David is doing these days? Have you heard from him?

Looking at some P275 50R 15 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials. Or possibly the 26 12.00 15LT Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R. Both are 26 inches tall and have 10 inch contact patch. And they will fit my 8 inch rims.

I am going to contact their tech line next week and chat.

These aren't so much fly cut for valve clearance as they are dished to lower the compression. They have a -20cc dish. With my heads they'll be ~ 9:1 compression. Haven't talked to Dave.

I'd probably go with the ET Street Radials for stickiness. But those Sportsman S/R should last longer and be better in the rain.
