Thought you might enjoy this. My brother Brian and I are returning to our hometown in NE Missouri to attend their local car show. Two years ago, the AC Cobra Replica of Brian's took the Club Choice award and won first in his class. Last year, we took the GT/CS and AC Cobra up and the GT/CS won Club Choice and 1st in class, Brian won 1st in class.

After the show, they shut down 2 or 3 city blocks and allow burnouts, drags, whatever as long as you can shut it down in the 2-3 blocks. Last year, this cost me one new tire on the GT/CS courtesy of the Chief of Police driving my car!!!

This year, they decided to put our cars on the t-shirts and on all trophies. The art work was just completed. Should be a fun time once again.

Wow very cool to have a CS on a rod run shirt for sure.

I think that is the ultimate compliment and especially with the Cobra too.

Our Tim would not have had a flagpole coming out of your roof! LOL!!

...'Took me a second glance to see what you were referring to D.D. I think (hopefully) the flagpole is associated more w/ the diner. It's an awsome honor and cool design tho! 'Looks like a screen type that is cheaper to produce in mass qty, but doesn't allow for the personal touches or shading.

Thanks for your kind words Paul, but nahh... You got a winner there :)

That's very cool Paul, it's an honor to have your car (and your brother's car too) featured on the shirts and trophies ... maybe this year you can set up a small table and you and your brother can autograph the t-shirts ...

Paul;
Congrats on the shirts, they are pretty neat. What are the times for this years show? I checked the milage last night and it's only a 8 or 9 hour drive from Columbus. Sure would be nice to make a road trip. I need to get that pony out and let her romp for awhile.

Don

We will start parking cars at 7:00 am in Edina. Registration starts at 8:00 am. Participant judging has to be completed by 1:00pm and then awards are at 3:00pm, with burnout competition thereafter.

Thanks to everyone for the kind word. For those who want to order a shirt, try calling John at 660-397-2604. Tell him that I sent you and that you saw a picture of the design on this site. Ask him to see if he can mail you a shirt. They do not have a website. Sorry.

Yep, I know the flagpole went with the diner, I think it would have looked better off to the right behind the car...(small potatoes though, lol) I was just being a smart*** as usual.

We load up on Thurs to head up. It is only a four hour trip for us but it seems to take forever when you are pulling a trailer, nervous, and on small country blacktop roads. Oh well, no pain no gain.

We are back!! I took first place again in class, Brian took first place again in his class. Since we were on the shirt and trophies, we could not win the Club Choice or the Best of Show, which was fine by us.

Burn out comp went very well. Everyone enjoyed it very much. I forgot my camera this year.

I do have a few t-shirts in XL (only). I bought what they had left after the show. If you are interested, PM me with your address.

Way to go!!! You guys are doing awesome ... although I can see the show promoters not wanting any favoritism towards you since you're on the T-shirts and trophies, it still doesn't seem too fair to exclude you guys from winning the Club Choice or the Best of Show if you guys deserved it ... oh well, you'll take it next year ...

We were allowed to vote for the Club Choice as we were considered part of the club for this year. And, I can understand the Best of Show as it would appear that we were up there winning everything. Therefore, it was really good with us to stay away from those big trophies. Brian and I both have our big trophy from that car show so it is nice to see someone else win one.

They had 98 cars in the show. It rained on and off throughout the day so I thought it was a very good turn out.
