…Following an evening of reflection upon hearing the results of my (our) boy TJ’s outstanding high school senior project presentation yesterday.

To compliment his long love of cars and dedication to this project, we’ve been privileged to the finest technical and inspirational know-how (on & off line) thanks to the fellowship of californiaspecial.com!

The people and experiences we have enjoyed here not only grew our enthusiasm and size of our collection, but also provided TJ with the familiarity, confidence and creative skills to drive his car across campus, park outside his classroom and showcase his own version of “California Special Way of Life” before hundreds of admiring students.

His efforts and your collective knowledge regarding the ‘68’s has earned him the highest score of all senior projects in the class of 2011 (99%)!

We just want to say “Thank You” to all who contribute to this Special site for keeping yet another generation in touch with fine Mustang heritage!

When I met TJ at your home, my impression was of a fine young man, a testimony of his upbringing. My congratulations to you both.

Tim and TJ,

Wow what a fantastic accomplishment and very well deserved score for a great guy. Loved the picture -- but Tim must have been working with photo shop again. It looked like TJ but who was the imposter in long pants and shoes (thinking of our visit 2 years ago)? Congratulations on a terrific project and for graduating.

Tim,
T.J. is one of the finest young men that I have ever met! He is respectful, polite, and is well spoken and fun to be around! I enjoyed every moment that I have spent with him. You should be proud! And you get to take some credit. Your solid home coupled with your love for him and your ability to love your cars together is a treasure. I am envious of your relationship.

My son will never follow in my foot steps in a car sort of way. But I love him none the less. You are a very lucky that your love of “our car love” has carried on over to him! I can see him hanging out a window taking pictures of us old geezers in our cars! Following in his Dad’s footsteps and yet preserving an iconic moment of car history!!

I am honored to know you, and so lucky to have met your son!!

And he does wear shoes!!!

Way to go TJ!!! I am very proud of him!!! Although I did not recognize him in slacks, a shirt and tie, he sure looks good!!!

Can't wait to get a look at the full binder that he put together for his project. It was a lot of fun being around during the whole time and even helping out once in a while.

...No Photoshop this time, Karen and Ralph. Our boy is all grown up (last week's pics from his senior ball party :)

And we'll never forget the difference You made - generously giving him his first encounter in a new GT/CS! Tossing him your keys and letting him drive Papa Neil around in your magnificent '08!

Yes, he's come a long way! In large part through the real magic that is "Mustang" and all the "Special" people we enjoy to this day!

Thank you all!!

Congratulations TJ

Wow, you certainly have grown up TJ. Robinette and I are very proud of you and your accomplishments. The world is YOURS, now go out and take it. We know what ever you do you will accel quickly and find yourself in top gear before you know it. (You seem to have a knack of skipping gears to achieve top gear fast) Mike and Robinette
