I would love to know what was going through that little Girls mind. I can come up with about ten things right off the bat. What an expression.

Nice to see that many CS's all together. Looks like a lot of fun!

OUTSTANDING!!!

Tim looks like a proud papa standing by his stable and TJ and Spencer are over the moon with having fun!
How totally FUN it has to be to BE YOUR OWN CAR SHOW!

Tim if you ever buy a car carrier, I'll drive it for ya!
The cotton candy girl reminds me of a guy parked next to me at a show and he had a beautiful yellow and white Cobra replica.....a young man leaned over to look at the engine and accidently dumped his snow cone on it.
Note to self: No more street fair car shows with kids on skateboards, bikes and deadly snow cones.
You get the award for having the most fun!

...here's a couple non CS pics of cars that also got our attention....

I was impressed to hear this Chevy Corvette Bubbletop is a daily driver. The owner's had it for 27 years... he and his wife have driven it from California to New York and back... it is a 1955, the first model with a V-8 265. Only 700 built, and 23 with this color.

...and I couldn't take my eyes off the absolutely gorgeous T5 fastback parked next to us on the street... drool.

I'm anxious to see Tim's pictures. Saw him getting some good line ups

Thanks for the welcome, Donna!

Sorry that I didn't make it up there....

It looked like it was a lot of fun. The sight of four CS Mustangs must have been overwhelming to those at the show..

When I get my current project over and done with (in Old Sacto), I hope to form a get-together for No., and So. Calif CS owners. Photo cars, BBQ, etc.

thanks for posting the photos!

Grass Valley car show

It was a lot of fun, Made alot of contacts, and found some other owners who are not in the registry, Yet. Handed out some of Paul's original surveys to those people. A gentleman stopped by who told Sharon he worked at the Milpitas Plant during 68', but unfortunately, He got away before she could find me or Tim. We looked all over for him, but he disappeared into the crowd.
That would have been a great contact for Paul. This man said he Made, or installed the side scoops for the specials. BUMMER He got away. Tim it was a lot of fun, and thanks for letting us pilot some cars. Mike

More pictures...

...where a great time was had by all! The cars performed flawlessly (save for a 'minor mayday' with a noisy fan clutch on Mike's 390).

This was the first local show for these cars and a first for a GT/CS on display in Grass Valley for some time. Where I shy'ed away from so many car stories, Mike was 'On it' when it came to educating everyone on the type while collecting leads on owners, former Ford employees and all others... He came well prepared w/ Paul's registry, an elite Marti report and volumns of photos & ads...

A few other cool Stangs...

...at the show which saw about 300 cars & maybe 5000 to 7000 in attendance. Threatening skies did little to deter...

We then...

...took a nice cruise over to Colfax via scenic & windy HWY 174 before going to dinner & the gas station. The fuel tab was considerably higher $$ ;-)

...Indeed Donna! I'll get that car carrier & we'll put yours (and maybe 1 or 2 others) on there & we'll do a tour :) If you're ever up this way again, please do give us a holler! There's another Mustang show here on June 17. :)

Thanks Joe! The cars really make it fun. I was watching people walk up the street... Alot of people thought they were Shelbys, others remarked how they've never seen Mustangs like that & the ones who knew of GT/CSs were blown away that there were suddenly so many in town. It was really hard getting away to see the rest of the show for all the attention & fellowship.

We had alot of people asking very pertinent questions which kept (Something Special) Mike enthusiastically busy. I usually defaulted to sending them to this website. I am fortunate (as you know) to simply go someplace in one of these and be treated with the respect and esteem most people can only dream of. These (GT/CS) Mustangs really do it!!

Newbie at car show -delights to see GT/CS collection

OK, so here I was just minding my own business, ambling along at the Grass Valley Car show, just about ready to go home, and I see off in one corner what I can't believe, a whole line of FOUR GT/CS '68 coupes, can't believe what I am seeing.

Seems long time friends Tim and Mike put this thing together, can you believe it, I have never seen this many:thumb: in one place at one time

I think I must have spent an hour looking over the cars and learning of them.
Mike gave me my basic introduction into the finer points of them,

Couldn't believe this magic existed in (little) Nevada County. When I am ready to get one for myself one day, looks like I have found (with their permission) a real neat source to get started. These guys know their knowledge down to the nut and bolt.

By the way what 's up with these GTCS shirts? Especially the ones the  kids were wearing?:icon_ecst Sure would like to get my hands on one.

Anyway, thanks for inviting me to the website. Looks like a great place.

Mike and Tim, when are you guys having another showing of your cars?

Best wishes
Jim Baubel right here in GV!!

Mike told me about this website, too, so here I am today - first post!

Jim

Welcome to the site. I agree with you, a cool site to see, even if we can only see it in the pictures. You shouldn't have to look for far for the t-shirts. Tim is the man!!! The polo shirts from Jon are outstanding as well. Best to buy both, that way you can attend any kind of function!!!

Again, welcome to the site.

Paul
