A about a month ago I purchased a project 1968 GT/CS (8R01J154376)....the car needs a lot of work...it was a rolling shell with a punch of parts and it needed to be put back together....well I had a want ad on craiglist looking for a 1968 GT/CS....this man contacts me and his daughter has one she,s owned it since 1972....(8R01J142558) and its been parked since 1988....and fired up about a year ago....see pics....the car has power disc brake and power steering...from the factory........when I seen it I wanted it bad....really bad....so I sold my old project back to the guy I purchased it from at a $1000 loss...I purchased the car for $6500.....my new project I purchased it for $5000....and it all there and complete...tell me if you think this was a good move....I think I did good see pics

The way I see it, you were able to sell your basket case back to the person you bought the car from, purchase this new complete car for 5k + 1k loss on the other car. You didn't get hurt. Now you can disassemble this car, tagging and labeling everything as you go. Much better deal than trying to figure out if you have the right part or even have the part at all.

This new car you just picked up is not in the Registry. Can you send me the door data info when you get a chance and a copy of the Marti Report when you get one. Thanks.

Yet another of the "few" left to find.
