...I've noticed an increasing number of "privacy violations" lately when I pull into gas stations, resturaunt parking lots and even while driving down multi-lane avenues or freeways!

When parked - menacing suspects will wait 'til you exit the car and go inside... They wiil then proceed to whip out camera phones and other weapons of mass collection, look both ways, then shoot away at your car from all directions!

When driving, you will find them pacing you no matter what your speed from your 45-degree rear... You slow down to let them pass - they don't. You speed up to get away - they stay with you! You wonder "What the heck"!?!... Then a flash or two reflects from your wind wing chrome into your eyes...

So what would be our best defense in these situations?
Truth is - there isn't any! You're driving a GT/CS!

All you can do is keep 'er polished and a smile on your face (which is easy from behind the wheel;-) Above all else - don't get distracted! NOS front bumpers are getting hard to find! .........'Just some friendly advice - be safe and enjoy!

I agree. It is amazing the amount of pictures, conversations and the like when I drive my Ferrari around.

The 68's get alot of attention as well but the yellow car gets the most.

I`ve had people do that quite often. Especially on the interstate. My car is`nt perfect like yours are Tim and its usually got a layer of dust on it and they still do it.

I here you, the same here, but even more so since I redone my stripes on my new 07 from nearly black on black Stang to the reflective white/silver. It just pops out at you, even my husband says it does when he first saw it this week end.

They dont stay with me, they typically give me a thumbs up and thats all i need to:

a) rev my engine
b) spin my tires
c) bone the f*ck out

You know, I almost went back to edit that to say: "Except for David Athans and Uncle Joedls"... Dang - 'wish I did ;-)

Hahahaaaa you guys kill me. I usually get the thumbs up and a lot of smiles...in the old days I thought they were looking at the car but maybe they were looking at me? Now I KNOW they are looking at the car!!! I wonder if people are thinking, "Does she even know what she has there?"

Now when I drive the ambulance.. you talk about getting stared at!! The first time a cell phone flash went off at night I thought I was getting shot at! I've even had a lady stand up out of a sunroof and take a picture. I can't even change lanes in that car because I am surrounded by people gawking at it. It's a pain but its' a blast! For some odd reason the bad biker boyz always give me a thumbs up where as they don't pay much attention to the CS. Maybe they feel comfort knowing I am right behind them? (I know, I'm sick)
I admit I have a ton of pride when driving my Mustang!!
Both cars are a riot for me.

...DD, one of the fears I have while driving the old firetruck around is based on a story from another classic firetruck owner.

He was on his way to a parade when he happened on a burning RV & was flagged down by it's occupants - "Oh so glad you came by...Now put out the fire! PLEASE!!!" ...Wasn't a darn thing he could do... I carry extra extiqushers, but they're reserved for the dual-carb 12 cyl. "firetrap" that's under MY hood. ;-) Boy! What would you do if someone needed a fully equipped med sled? No doubt you get alot of looks great attention tho :))

We be celebrities w/o much effort for sure. It is a blast! 'Wouldn't mind seeing if any different in Jason's Ferrari or HG's 07 tho... What say - any of you want to trade?????

Oh yeeeaaahhh I worry about if I happen upon a bad accident :icon_dead and I actually HAVE driven by a few, and I get all nervous~~hoping nobody thinks I am a 'for real' ambulance...but I do carry three extensive first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and the car can be a working ambulance ( gurneys, lights and sirens all in working condition) in case I was ever commandeered by someone in authority. When I drive it I have a large NOT IN SERVICE sign in my windshield. I never never try to pretend I am the real deal even when I wear my nurse 'costume' at certain functions.....you can tell (hopefully) by looking closely that it is all for fun.
Other than that, people of all ages and types love the car and call it Ghostbuster even though that was a '59. Some people think it is a hearse..go figure.

In the old days the local funeral director (undertaker) also ran the ambulance service. One car for both purposes.

I actually worked at a funeral home (long story), and worked in the back with the morticians. (I was only 8 to 12 years old at the time). I saw a lot of interesting things that Arlie and I can share over drinks someday when we meet. I always thought it was interesting that the funeral home I worked at was just across the street from the hospital. :scared: Casey

trade? might take a few cars to trade for my yellow car.

…Oh No Jason, I was referring to the fire truck. It’s a gas if you’re up to the challenge!

A real “chick magnet” with an imposing presence anywhere you go!

It has a flathead V-12 w/ two Strombergs, 24 spark plugs and gets around 3 gallons per mile! Everything is full “manual” with a steering radius timed by the calendar and a vacuum assist brake system that's like placing a catalog order to stop... Not to worry tho, you’ll also look GREAT as you plow through virtually anything that gets in your way with 12-feet of heavy gauge steel out front for added safety. (Be sure and use the floor siren for added effect ;-)

Performance is great too! It’s a “runaway freight” going down hill, but is capable of two digits going up. The hand throttle feature enables you to get out and patronize your favorite roadside fruit stand without having to stop… And of course, those gas station conversations we often talk about? You’ll be able (out of necessity;-) to hit every one of them! ‘Just think – for only about 1/3rd. the cost of a Ferrari, you could enjoy a full day driving around in one of these!!! ;-)

Yes, that's called a combo car.
Always creeped me out that the funeral home is often across the street from a hospital too...very convenient huh.

Bumpers? Heck I'm more concerned about replacing a grill!!

I get a lot of waves too when I'm out cruising but it seems I get a lot from bikers (male and female) not sure why but that's been my experience.

Alot of gentlemen that inquire about my car will ask me if I have permission from my husband or boyfriend to drive "his" car. Well, if looks could kill, they`d all be dead, I`ll tell you that, lol.
