    1968 side scoop removal

Yes. The stud on the scoop is pretty close to the center of the scoop itself. It's kinda 'a guess & by-golly' but it's a non-critical area. Neil

    1968 side scoop removal

When prepping my Black GT/CS for painting I removed the side scoops. There was no access hole in the 1/4 window mechanism (ref: GTCS recognition Guide, page 106). From inside the car I merely eyeballed & estimated where the mounting stud would be located on the scoop and used a small hole saw...

For Sale CS in Arizona Facebook post

Would need more info to determine value, and sale-ability: Marti Report listing configuration & options. Photos of conditions (body, frame, torque boxes, interior, etc.) Cowl leaks? Floor pans? Descriptions of any maladies, missing pieces. From the current photos, I see a 'back to square one'...

    1968 Prepping for media blasting

I have never media-blasted a car. They all made pretty nice 'drivers'. Just sayin... Neil

1968 I’d tag and production run number

Here are the photos I have. I was unable to do a comprehensive inspection of the car due to late arrival (2hrs) & early departure. The car had a heavy PS fluid leak and I was worried that they wouldn't make it back home, but he insisted on leaving regardless. The rear filler panels were glued on...

For Sale Mustang GT/CS (California Special) Recognition Guide and Owner's Manual #501

The book may not reach $500 on this bid, but it will in the not-too-distant future. The book is a wealth of information & GT/CS details. A "must-have" for a serious collector. The photo/artwork is perfect. Give Paul Newitt credit- he created an outstanding piece of historical data & detailed...

1968 I’d tag and production run number

I'll try to photo critical clues. Hoping for the best, but somewhat doubtful of authenticity. Neil

1968 I’d tag and production run number

The Marti Report does not list the California Special option. The owner told me it did not have the Fog Light Switch (which he added but is not sure of the electrical hook-up). I will check to see if the factory wiring is in fact installed. The first thing I want to look at is the tail light...

1968 California "Script" and the first 14 cars

Arlie; When was the CS @ "2040 Car Sales" advertised? I noticed the high-placed scripts on it. Neil

    Another Bad Idea?

I remember the White GT/CS crash. IIRC, it was owned by Joe ??? in CA and had a high HP modified engine. Somehow it was running, in gear, unoccupied, and crashed into the wall. Here's my own version of a better idea- of not tightening ALL the lugnuts. (Not one of my better achievements.) Neil

1968 I’d tag and production run number

I spoke with Jerry tonite. He & his wife are driving their CS here to NC NEXT Saturday so I can check it out. (They only live an hour+/- away.) Jerry told me that the dashpad was installed covering the VIN tag. I'll fix that post haste! I'll have to brush up on date codes for the sheet metal...

For Sale 1968 High Country Special Red 302 Auto

A super nice guy, and an immaculate HCS. Tom & his wife drove their HCS on vacation to NC and visited with me & Peggy. That's when he gifted me the handcrafted wooden watch. Neil

For Sale 1968 High Country Special Red 302 Auto

I've seen this car and met the owner. He was a member of our site and passed away some years ago. Tom ????. He had also made wooden model watches commemorating GT/CS's. No doubt for sale by his son. Neil
