POLL: Meeting at Carlisle to celebrate the 40th? Please be realistic in your answer.

I'm curious about this--having never been to a Carlisle event before. I see a spring and fall thing listed on their site; are these swap meets? And is the Ford event in June "just" a car show/etc, or is it a swap meet as well? I'm not that big on car shows anymore (no offense, but they get...

Sell my GT/CS to buy a 69 Mach?

The condition of the body is the biggest factor, but I'd guess it's worth ballpark $15-20K, assuming it's not a rusty hulk. It's missing the rim blow steering wheel ($500 minimum for a driver piece), but still has the console, which looks OK. Does it have the fold-down back seat? That adds...

Sell my GT/CS to buy a 69 Mach?

LOL! As a matter of fact, I do happen to know just such a person. And have even seen the Grabber Green Mach myself in person...AND I must say that it's a sweet ride. :-) Seriously, I sincerely hope that someone who doesn't own 400 different cars all at the same time buys the GG Mach and...

Sell my GT/CS to buy a 69 Mach?

OK, I'll weigh in here, and remember, I DO like CS/GTs (I've had two), but... I see two issues comparing the CS to a Mach. First, there is a world of difference between the '68 and the '69 model year cars--much greater difference than comparing the 1965 Mustang with the 1968 Mustang. The...

Was anybody bidding on Seafoam green project on E-bay

Did you get the story about the whole estate of cars? I'm curious about the details (just nosey), and am wondering what else is going to come up for auction from this group of vehicles.

Was anybody bidding on Seafoam green project on E-bay

I'm curious about the car and the history. Can you tell us all, here in this thread?

    Just bought a cs... questions

Yep! Restored cars are always a better deal financially when you compare the costs associated with getting the "cheap" junker into comparable condition.

    68 GT/CS in Eugene

Except that the ad has said that for at least the last 2 weeks. Guess the details take a little longer than expected!

I may have to sell my GT/CS to publish my book..

Wow. I have a hard time imagining you without that car, but sometimes it is time to move on. If you are not emotionally ready to sell, I'd advise you to continue looking into the loan aspect for financing as you will forever be sorry that you let your car go. As you know, a large part of what...

    No Mustang'n Today...

It's been nasty here, too. We got over 3" on Sunday, so the west side of the state pretty much shut down on Monday. More of the nasty white stuff forecast for tonight, sigh.

Pick this apart for me please...

Yes, this is one of my really major turn-offs when looking at a car. I can forgive a lot, but every time I open the hood, my eyes are always drawn to those fender bolts...

...and now it's gone! The seller ended the auction early--must've gotten an offer they couldn't refuse.

Needed ASAP: '68 dash inner gauge plastic chrome "button"

Thanks guys! I found new lenses with the little buttons in the new NPD catalog... They are not too expensive, but I hate to make such a small order. Hmm, surely there's something else I need for one of these junkers around here. ;-)

Needed ASAP: '68 dash inner gauge plastic chrome "button"

Great, I'll look in my catalog. I stopped by my local Mustang Store and he said they were only available as a whole unit, so I didn't bother to look. Thanks!

Needed ASAP: '68 dash inner gauge plastic chrome "button"

Hi, I need one of the inner round plastic chrome decorative "buttons" that go in the center of the speedo and gas gauges that covers the bases of the needles... It doesn't have to be in great condition, but I need it ASAP. Please contact me directly at DeadStang at gmail dot com. Thanks!

Pick this apart for me please...

OK, I figured out how to search back farther than two months... Here's one of a couple of discussions about this car that I found: http://www.californiaspecial.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4735

Pick this apart for me please...

I remember seeing it, just not the details. Seems like it ran thru twice, back to back, only getting up to around $18K and not meeting th reserve...? But I may be thinking of another car.
