    If you're new, or--you don't post much....

Jamie, Sounds like a good plan to me. I'd do all the CS stuff, but I'd add the '68 Shelby-style front end fiberglass pieces, too. The coolest looking Shelby, IMO, is the '68, even tho I know the purist say that '67 was the pinnacle of Shelby-grooviness or whatever. Good luck with your project!

    If you're new, or--you don't post much....

I don't post much but have lurked around here for for several years (had a different name before). I have had #2 CS/GTs over the past several years, but currently am without. My first was a J-code from southern Oregon that sat dead for 23 years, partially disassembled. It found a very good...

    eBay CS in Washington

LOL! I was thinking that this is such a great auction that I'd try and copy it the next time I try to sell something. In my generic search, I only looked at the auction because the BIN was so high that I thought it must be a fastback or big block car only a state away...was surprised to see...

    VINS not matching

Can inner fenders be changed out without ruining the integrity of the car??? Yes. Back in the day, it wasn't that uncommon to "clip" a car if there was serious front end damage in an accident. Look really closely where the inner fenders attach to the firewall on the inside of the engine...

    Washington/Oregon CS/GT on Craig's List

Not mine: http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/car/457254529.html Project '68 Mustang GT/CS California Special for restoration. Very rare car, as rare as the Shelby's from the same era; only 4118 built with the California Special option... probably the next "big mover" in the vintage Mustang...

    J-Code Project

Get on the Craig's List there and see if you can find one that the seller (of the CS/GT) will pick up and install for you. Here are a couple of ads that might work: http://monterey.craigslist.org/pts/446513816.html http://monterey.craigslist.org/pts/437022324.html

    J-Code Project

Projects often sell for disproportionately more than finished cars. It's easier to fork $4,500 now, then shell out the many thousands in restoration over the next months to years, than to cough up $24,000 today for a finished car. BTW, good luck with your new toy--I am into stock/unmodified...

GT/CS for sale in Vegas ...on SF Craigs List

No, he drove it down to Reno, then I assume to Vegas. No issues and it even has a good working radio. It has lots of power for a 289; it starts and runs well, and the transmission shifts as it should. The rear gearing isn't stock, so the rmps on the highway are kind of high (it had a stupid...
