Here's one for the purists.

This 1967 Ford Mustang is simply a blast. The power train is a complete pull-out from a 2004 Silverado. 5.3 liter with a Camaro intake, injectors and a 4L60 overdrive automatic transmission. The only reason I'm selling it is too finish my dad's 1966 SS Chevelle he's had since new.

Personally, I would have use a Nissan 3.7L and Corvette door handles!:tongue:

It's interesting that an LS motor will fit into a '67 mustang without modification to the shock towers (?) but a coyote won't.

I don't know if this is a bad idea, it's just something I've never seen.
Is the brace a drag racing thing?

Yes, it's to keep the motor from flexing enough to tear the rubber motor mount. I used to use a piece of chain down to the frame rail on my Mach 1, so that it had some flex but not enough to rip the mount.

I had a similar brace on my first Mustang a 1967 Fastback with a high zoot 351 4V quench head Cleveland with a 4 speed and 9 inch. 4.56 gears and tall slicks.

I attached to the frame member at the base of the shock tower with a chain like Steve did! No prob and it worked great to protect the left side motor mount!

Today I have Ron Morris motor mounts that are unbreakable!!

I had the front edges of my scoops painted white as well. Of course the whole car was white, so it didn't show, but the thought was there. :grin:

I saw one that I couldn't stop and get a picture of, but the guy had an 80's ford 4X4 with an aluminum roof vent for the hood scoop... maybe that's why it was parked on the side of the highway??
