    . Photo Your Winter Fun

Rob, Great installation. Those frame connectors sit really nice and tight to the frame. Next time I go to visit my son at UPS in Tacoma, you'll have to take me for a ride! David

07 GT Wheels on my GT/CS?

When I bought my '68 convertible it had 18" Foose wheels with 1 1/2" spacers. I was comfortable with them for normal, around town driving. However, I quickly replaced them with Shelby 10 spoke 15" wheels.

    Peggy's '57 T-Bird

Sounds like you have a 351W. Not original, but a whole lot more cubic inches! Stroke that bad boy!!! David Off the internet: The 351W and 302 are very different: The 351W has a taller deck height than the 302. (a 302 will have the intake almost flush with the base of the distributor...

1968 Well, I just bought the "7 million in gold and 1 GT/CS" car

Radial T/A's are good and inexpensive, but I like Cooper Tires. Made in America. 215x70x14 is pretty common, slightly more aggressive than stock. I also prefer black side out! I also would not go any bigger than 2 1/2" on the exhaust with a stock engine. Maybe even smaller, save some money...

    Wanted Lower console assembly

I read somewhere that the tooling costs were in excess of $150,000. Probably one of the reasons the 68's aren't being reproduced. One year only parts can be expensive! Not having good luck with my contacts (Jim B) in Colorado. Lots of parts, but pretty much useless - no bases, just pads and...

    Wanted Lower console assembly

Scott, what is the difference between an AC and non AC console base and can a non AC be modified? I assume it has something to do with the underdash components and hoses??

    Wanted Lower console assembly

Neil, I will call you later to discuss, but I currently have plans to see/purchase the console in Denver tomorrow morning. The one above in Utah will be cheaper (if it is complete). Here are pictures of the humphugger. One came in my convertible when I bought it. I ended up selling it, but...

    Wanted Lower console assembly

Neil, There is a guy here in Denver that has a bunch of them. He is a bit eccentric. Give me a few days to follow up and I will let you know if he will sell one and what he wants for it. If successful, I might be able to deliver it. I am going to be in Salem/Clemson area late March. And I...

1968 Well, I just bought the "7 million in gold and 1 GT/CS" car

I think you mentioned that it had a 9" rear. Wouldn't that indicate a GT and dual exhaust? Definitely get a Marti report.

    1968 X-code GTCS - Value?

As said earlier - Rare does not always mean desirable. With all the rust issues, I would also be concerned about how the roof looks under the vinyl top. My opinion, I'd get that $9K in my hands as quick as I could! Good luck, though, with whatevery you decide. David

    1968 Green Hornet

The SAAC forum thread on the Green Hornet says that what appeared to be the last "real" bid was only $300K and that according to insiders the reserve was $2M. They also talked about prices being down on Shelby's, maybe due to the fact that there were over 60 offered for sale (BJ or all...

    Anyone in Carson City, NV?

Congratulations on the purchase and welcome to the site. When was the auction? Should be a pretty interesting car. What made you decide to buy it? Post more pictures when you get a chance. Any other details...engine, options, etc? David

    For Sale Cali Special

9" rear, ratched shifter, C6 - wonder what has been done to the engine? Got a couple "option" questions: What is the deal with bumber guards? This one has them on the front, but not the rear. What option where they part of? It has stainless trim on the drip rails, but not the wheel...

1968 68 GT with drum brakes?

Not really relevant to this discussion, but I have drum brakes on my 1964 Corvette. They became available in 65. My understanding is that early on, people were a little hesitant to order disc brakes. Somewhat new technology and more expensive to repair/replace. Also for the drag racers, they...

. GT/CS To Be Auctioned Carson City NV

There is a previous thread on this car from a few months ago. I read in my local paper this morning that the pre auction estimate is $17K. No information on when or where the auction will be, though.

    Fast ez efi

Joe, The latest Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine (All Modified special edition) has an article on EFI upgrades. Have not read it completely, but they show cased Mass-Flo's EFI product. Supercharger and Nitros. Should be pretty quick, get those sub frame connectors installed!
