I love the old magazine articles. Notice how most of them have a recessed reflector car. Pictures of early GT/CS cars. And again a blue with white vinyl top car...

What is really funny is my car was repainted blue and had a white vinyl top when I bought it....

I'm not sure I like the idea of a magazine telling people how to clone GT's and CS's. There is some wrong info in there also. Good thing we have Kevin Marti. I find it interesting that 11 years later, you could still buy CS specific parts. Go to a dealer now and you can't find stuff for a car 5 years old. On a slightly unrelated note, the "secretary" (really the owners mother in law) at the body shop I use, was going through some of her mom's stuff and found a Mustang Magazine and brought it in for me. It's the Jan '88 issue of Fabulous Mustangs and Exotic Fords. It's the "Fairlane-Torino Special" and includes an article on the '70 King Cobra along with a story of a guy that put a 427 cammer in a Boss 429, some Boss 302 stories, and an article on a black Boss 351. No CS's but a pretty good issue, if you run across one.

Steve, I'm glad at least it was written in 1979 verses today. That was the year after I bought my first GT/CS knowing nothing about its inception or history... I just thought it looked cool! This also goes to further illustrate the 20/30-year cycle most cars go though, from being modified and thought little of, to (with attrition and rarity...) eventually coming "home" full-circle.

Indeed, thanks to its dedicated owners and Marti Auto Works, we're in a good place today!

...And speaking of modifications during those crazy times!...
