Joedls...thanks for the nomination...i spent a few hours today...recapping the entire story of my car and i still couldn't include everything in 8 pages! I also would have added more photos, but i was limited to 500kb which really isnt enough administrator.

If anyone actually reads my entire story i'll be surprised. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks
David

P.S. The Holley 750 goes in next week, cuz Jennings was too busy today to fit it in.

David,

No thanks required. I love your obvious passion for your car and I'd love to see it run down the track sometime. Maybe you can convince Jason to bring his 66 out to SoCal for a run?

I am not much of a long distance driver. Come to Houston and I will take care of ya when you get here.

Heck if we coordinated a GT/CS get together in Houston I would pay for a block of hotel rooms for the event.

Careful Jason. I have family in Houston and might take you up on your offer. My tastes tend to be expensive:wink:

Go ahead and email me any additional photos. Or if they're already in the gallery just let me know which ones to use.

The 500kb limit is supposed to be per image, but looks like it's counting the sum of all images. I bumped it up.

I did read your story (all of it!) David. I'm thinking the next place you should take it should be an exorcist.:ghostride You've had some bad luck with that car! (I'll leave it at that and let everyone read it when it's featured)

I only have 2 entries so far; you and Joe. Hopefully we'll get some more or this will be a short lived experiment.

Well I'm not looking for any glory, but if you need some entries, I'll type up my story tonight when I have more time.

thanks for reading it jon, yes lots of bad luck...lots of wasted money, but it sorta all worked out in the end, except for the fact that the car needs a ground up restoration still. Should i post a lot more pictures of the car through its progression to go along with the story? Should i post the pictures of the car the night of the Accident? I have pictures from the second accident too. I have a picture of me when i was like 6 standing beside the mustang and at the time i had no idea what it was, or that it was going to be my first car. I have lots of great pictures to go along with the story. How many should i upload? is there a limit, cuz i have soooo many good ones.

I'd say 25 or so would probably be the limit.

Jason and Steve, I'll keep an eye out for your entries.

Okay there is a slight problem....most of my pictures are like 2.5 mB each. i have found some that are less than 500kb. So what im going to try to do is get together with my friend chris to shrink down the size of the files. I think its possible....when would be the deadline to submit the pictures jon? also am i going to have to submit one at a time because of the 500kb thing? or did you change it to 500kb per picture?

David, just email them to me at 1968gtcs@gmail.com (this address can handle the larger files) I'm just going to resize down to 1200x1200 max anyway, so if they're larger then that and you can resize before sending it will cut down on size. If you can't resize just send them and I'll take care of it.

FYI here's a post on resizing pics. If you run Windows XP there's an add-on that lets you resize with just a right click. http://californiaspecial.com/forums/t2826-faq-how-do-i-resize-a-photo.html

Jon, I sent you my story and some pics. I welcome constructive criticism, so if you want it longer/shorter/more info on a particular subject, just let me know and I'll revamp it.

Steve,
I laughed to myself when I read this. :icon_lol:
It made me think of Paperback Writer by The Beatles.

It's a thousand pages, give or take a few,
I'll be writing more in a week or two.
I can make it longer if you like the style,
I can change it round and I want to be a paperback writer,
Paperback writer.

Sorry - just struck me funny.
