Here are some pictures from a show I attended today. OK here are a lot of pictures from a show I attended today. It was held in Staatsburg, NY just north of Hyde Park, NY. It was at a historic site where Mills Mansion is located. You can see the mansion in the pictures. There are over 180+ pictures here so speed up the slideshow or use the next button.
There were 500 or more cars there today.
Check out the Australian Ford Falcon GT - right hand drive too. Very Cool!
Lots of antiques and they had car games that you'll see. One was a gentleman's race, where the driver had to stop, run around, let the passenger in, drive around, then let them out, a blindfold race is in some pics too. It was different - they also parked cars by car clubs - so each row was a different club. It's a lot of pics but some really nice cars you don't see too often.
It was a great day ... got an award and to top it off, a photographer approached me about doing a photo shoot of my car for a calendar!
I was floored!! His name is Dan Lyons (http://www.LyonsOnWheels.com)
He has done a few books and a lot of calendars. He's working on the NAPA calendar for 07 or 08. He does Mustang Calendars among others and he has only shot 1 GT/CS in the past. It was a Sunlit Gold from Pittsfield, MA (I assumed Mass). Not sure if it's someone from the site. He showed me that calendar - nice picture and nice car.
I still didn't think he was serious. He called my cell toward the end of the show and said it was a too cloudy but to call him when I was leaving and maybe the weather would clear up. I left him a message on his cell, waited awhile and headed home. I didn't expect to hear from him again and figured he came to his senses. He actually called me back tonight at home and wants to try for next weekend if the weather holds up. I checked out his site (see above) and he takes some great shots. I hope he does trick photography to make my 15-20 footer look as good as some of those on his site.
Anyway, we'll see what happens. Here is the link to the photo album:

Nice way to end the show season around here. Not much left before the car get stored for the Winter months.
