Just got my copy in the mail today. It always makes my heart jump to see one of 'our' cars in a magazine. Beautiful car, and a nice article. Great job, Casey, thank you!

I just saw the article today. You deserve to be proud. It was a great article (except for the one little production error) and if it had been my car I'd be walking on clouds.

Jason, many thanks. I am very happy with the article. I look forward to picking up the magazine with your car in it. Let us know as soon as it comes out!

I haven't switched to a GT rear valance because the car did not have the GT option. I guess it is a preference thing. As you know, I even switched out the GT hubcaps to plain, and the GT gas cap to the corral version. (I have 2 GT pop open gas caps left over - driver quality - if someone needs them - I just havent had time to put them on eBay).

As for the engine - well, it is ok, but not 'show quality' detailed yet. I really didnt want them to put the picture of the engine in the article. The hose thing is one of those old style garden hose connectors that lets you flush the radiator (from the previous owner). My coil is in the wrong place (because I added an electric choke to the Edlebrock 4b), and I havent painted the 4bl intake (I think I have to powdercoat it since it is aluminum?). Lots of other details need work. You could eat off my '66 convertible's engine - but not the GTCS engine.

I was contacted by a company, InTheNewsOnline.com, to have the entire article laminated on a nice large wood plaque for displays at shows...so I am going for that. I also asked Mustang Times for permission to post the article on this site. I will let you know what I hear back from them.

Again, thanks, Casey

Congrats Casey!!!!

Great article and pics!!

I was so psyched when I got home and saw the mail today and a GT/CS on the cover.

Even the Mrs said "Hey? Did you see what's on the cover of your Mustang magazine?"

Very cool!

As for the production number mishap - they post corrections in there all the time - I noticed they even had corrections for the current issue about the new show classes. Maybe you can let them know.

(On a side note - on the show classes, I notice there are OPEN and CLOSED classes ... what does that mean? What's the difference. I know I could probably go to the MCA site and dig for the info but thought someone might know real quick.I'm guessing it's not coupe vs convertible LOL! :icon_lol:

And did you see that you can trailer occasionally driven cars to National shows now and be put in a special class to avoid mileage limits on your insurance or registration? I thought that was a good move. (sorry off topic for this thread))

Thanks! I spoke to the editor, Mary Jean, this afternoon, and she will correct the production number in the March issue. She did get the other number from an older source. She was very nice about it, and wants to make the correction.

Rich;
Your partially correct. Open and Closed are the classes
Open - Convertible
Closed - Hardtop (Coupe & Fastback)

Sometimes you'll see "ALL" which means they compete in the same class together.

GTCS Production Number Correction

For reference, here is the correction that Mustang Times printed in their March issue for the GTCS production numbers. Casey
